Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston is seeking a Bakery Clerk (ages 16-17) to work under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager and deliver friendly, helpful service to customers. You will assist customers with bakery purchases, keep shelves clean, rotate displays, and collaborate with the Baker to determine items to bake or decorate, while maintaining department cleanliness.

A Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all food-related positions; 401(k) and Continuing Education

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the public and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, labels, prices, and memos.
• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required for food positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful bakery customer service and assist with purchases.
• Clean, fill, rotate, and maintain bakery displays and shelves.
• Assist customers with special orders and coordinate with the baker on items to bake or decorate.
• Help with department cleaning and floor/hose down as needed to maintain cleanliness.
• Lift and move items as part of daily duties within the bakery area.
