Job summary

Chedraui USA is seeking a Bakery Clerk at Store 018 Houston Kirby in Houston, TX. The role focuses on delivering friendly customer service in the bakery, assisting with purchases, taking special orders, and coordinating with the bakery team to support daily operations.

Responsibilities include keeping display areas clean, hosing floors, handling front store and adjacent bakery spaces, and helping the Bakery Manager meet daily targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and short correspondence and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in the bakery.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases, take special orders, and work with the baker on baking or decorating decisions.
• Clean shelving, display cases, and self‑serve displays, including front store and adjacent bakery areas.
• Keep the bakery department clean by hosing down floors with soap and water.
• Support the Bakery Manager with daily tasks and maintain a fast‑paced work environment.
