Job summary

Chedraui USA is seeking a Bakery Clerk for the Dallas area to provide friendly customer service, assist with bakery purchases, and maintain clean, appealing displays. You will work under the Bakery Manager and help fulfill special orders in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements include bilingual English/Spanish communication, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and a Food Handler Card. Prior retail experience and familiarity with food safety are a plus.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish and English.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently lift up to 45 lbs, occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to bakery customers under supervision.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases; clean shelving and display cases.
• Fill, rotate, and maintain self-serve displays placed in front of the store and near the bakery.
• Take special orders and collaborate with the baker to determine items that need to be baked or decorated.
• Help keep the department clean and safe.
• Maintain visual presentation and quality of bakery products.
• Follow Food Handler Card or equivalent certification requirements.
• Support the Bakery Manager with daily tasks.
