Sprouts Farmers Market in Reno, NV is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to prepare, package and present baked goods while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll assist the Bakery Manager with prep, baking, pricing and merchandising, maintain a clean, safe bakery, and help customers with special orders. This role requires 18+ and HS diploma with bakery experience; weekend availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a HS diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general department housekeeping and maintain food safety.
• Stand for long periods and handle lifting requirements as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package all baked goods for display and sale.
• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented; keep area clean.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; sweep and tidy shelves.
• Rotate stock, check pricing accuracy, and discard outdated items.
• Receive and log product shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team success.
