Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Bakery Clerk to prepare, bake, package and merchandise baked goods. You will deliver exceptional customer service, maintain a clean bakery area, and assist with pricing and rotation to ensure freshness.

The role requires18+ with a HS diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years bakery experience, reliable attendance, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Safety and sanitation are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
• Able to answer phones and take special orders
• General housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, etc.).
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift; able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory requirements, including Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure Bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented; maintain cleanliness of the Bakery area
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; sweep and sanitize surfaces
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while checking rotation and discarding outdated items
• Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
