Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and interact well with customers.
• Strong communication and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and hand trucks as needed.
• Stand for long periods and handle lifting as described in duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package all baked goods.
• Assist Bakery Manager with prep, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising.
• Provide high levels of customer service and ensure items are properly prepared and presented; keep the bakery area clean.
• Maintain clean, safe bakery area and equipment; sweep floors and organize shelves.
• Rotate and discard outdated items; inspect shipments for accuracy and quality.
