Job summary

Bonrue Bakery in Southern Utah is seeking a Baker to join our back-of-house team. You will prepare daily goods following our recipes and work with a passionate crew to maintain quality and consistency.

Ideal candidates have 11 years of baking experience (or culinary training), flexible availability for mornings or evenings, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. We prioritize craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of professional baking experience (or culinary training).
  • Open availability: mornings or evenings, with weekend/holiday flexibility.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Hold or obtain a valid Food Handlers Permit.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare artisan breads, viennoiseries, and savory items according to Bonrue standards.
  • Scale, mix, shape, and proof doughs using established formulas.
  • Operate ovens, mixers, proofers, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure product quality.
  • Keep workstations clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
  • Label, store, and rotate ingredients and finished goods.
  • Communicate with the Head Baker on product needs and shift flow.
  • Maintain pace during high-volume production windows.
  • Assist with packaging, portioning, or topping items as needed.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation protocols consistently.

The Role

As a Baker at Bonrue, you'll be responsible for preparing and producing daily baked goods following standardized recipes and techniques. You'll work side by side with a passionate team to create consistent, high-quality products while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

What You'll Do

Who You Are
  • Have 1-2 years of professional baking experience (or culinary training)
  • Open availability: must be able to work morning or evening shifts, with flexibility around days off (including weekends and holidays as needed)
  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Can follow precise instructions and repeat processes with consistency
  • Are detail-oriented and take pride in craftsmanship
  • A reliable teammate with strong time management skills
  • Hold (or are willing to obtain) a valid Food Handler's Permit
  • Can lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
