Job summary

Vanderlande's JFK Team is responsible for the Operations and Maintenance of the Material Handling Systems at Terminal One. You will monitor Baggage controls applications (VIBES High Level Controls Software) and IT systems, manage the flow in the baggage system and adjust where needed (contingencies, reschedule and reassign flights and chute assignments).

You will be in frequent contact with customers, partners, suppliers, and colleagues in the O&M team to ensure baggage operations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as logistics, IT, industrial, or computer engineering.
• Experience in operating 24/7 mission critical IT environments.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the SCADA and baggage handling system operations.
• Respond promptly to alarms and system notifications to address issues.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance and stakeholders to minimize downtime.
• Assist preventive maintenance activities and maintenance teams.
• Generate reports on system performance, incidents and maintenance.
• Report status to customers and stakeholders and follow service level agreements.
• Lead incident management and ITIL processes for operational issues.
