Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee the operational and technical personnel on the baggage handling system at JFK - Terminal One. You will guide on-site teams, ensure safety, quality and productivity, and coordinate with the Operations and Maintenance Manager to meet performance goals.

The role requires 5+ years in electro-mechanical fields, 2+ years as a team leader, and experience with control systems and networks. Travel up to 50% pre-go-live, then taper after go-live.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the electro-mechanical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a team leader.
• Experience with Control Systems and Networks is a plus.
• Experience in industrial or material handling/conveyor systems.
• Read and write English and local language.
• Proven problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Guide onsite personnel and supervise the operations and maintenance teams.
• Lead daily operation activities and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to safety plans, and training requirements.
• Review performance with the Operations and Maintenance Manager and customers.
• Maintain policies, procedures, and quality control of craftsmanship.
