Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead and oversee the baggage handling system team at JFK - Terminal One. You will supervise operations, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and coordinate with the Operations and Maintenance Manager and customers as needed.

The role demands strong electro-mechanical expertise, 2+ years in supervision, and effective communication in English. Travel within the U.S. may be required for onboarding and site support as go-live progresses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the electro-mechanical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a team leader.
• Experience with Control Systems and Networks is a plus.
• Experience in industrial, commercial construction, or material handling/conveyor systems industries.
• Read and write English and local language.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support onsite personnel while guiding operations.
• Supervise team performance and daily operation activities.
• Lead meetings with Operations and Maintenance Manager and customers as needed.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety plan and training requirements.
• Oversee contractor safety, permits to work, and QA of workmanship.
• Promote training initiatives and continuous improvement.
