Job summary

Vanderlande’s JFK Team in New York, NY is seeking a Control Room Operator to monitor BHS system and IT controls (VIBES). You will manage the baggage handling flow, respond to alarms, and coordinate contingencies to keep operations running smoothly.

You will analyze incidents, perform preventive maintenance coordination, generate performance reports, and act as a primary point of contact for customers and partners. The role requires 8‑hour shifts across 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, IT, industrial or computer engineering.
• Experience managing 24/7 mission critical IT environments.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to work 8-hour shifts covering 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the SCADA system to oversee baggage handling operation.
• Respond to alarms and system notifications to maintain performance.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and assist maintenance teams.
