Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region is seeking a Backroom Supervisor for our ReStore in Cornelius, NC. You will supervise staff and volunteers, oversee donation intake and item ticketing, and ensure safe, efficient merchandise flow from receiving to sales floor.

Responsibilities include cash handling on a rotating basis, end-of-day reporting, and maintaining a positive volunteer experience while upholding Habitat's standards and customer service goals.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math or POS experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Management and Customer Service experience.
• Show initiative.

Responsibilities

• Research and ticket donated items and move them to the sales floor in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with store leadership on the priority and placement of incoming donations.
• Coordinate with donation drivers for loading and unloading donations.
• Ensure safe handling of merchandise according to policies and procedures.
• Assist in receiving items and maintain a safe, clean environment for staff, volunteers, and customers.
• Supervise and motivate staff and volunteers; ensure strong customer service.
• Open/close the store and perform cash handling as needed.
• Read, count, and complete end-of-day reports and documentation.
• Maintain a meaningful volunteer experience and represent Habitat positively.
