Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region is seeking a Backroom Supervisor for the ReStore to ensure donations are processed, ticketed, and moved efficiently to the sales floor. You will supervise staff and volunteers, maintain safety and accuracy in daily operations, and support exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include coordinating with leadership on donation flow, handling cash, and opening/closing the store while ensuring a positive volunteer experience.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math or POS experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Management and Customer Service experience.
• Show initiative.

Responsibilities

• Ensure items are researched, ticketed and moved to the sales floor.
• Coordinate with leadership on priority, timing, and placement of donations/merchandise.
• Work with donation drivers on loading/offloading donations.
• Maintain safe handling of merchandise per policies and procedures.
• Supervise and maintain a safe, clean environment for staff, volunteers and customers.
• Provide excellent customer service and engage volunteers and donors.
• Document and conduct corrective actions as needed.
• Open/close the store and handle cash procedures.
