Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-Southeastern-Louisiana in Baton Rouge seeks a Store Production Supervisor to lead daily donation and production operations, ensure safety and organization, and convert donations into revenue.

You will supervise a backroom team, optimize workflow from donation door to sales floor, and coordinate with transportation and district managers to meet goals. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, supervisory experience, and flexibility including nights and weekends.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule at short notice, including nights and weekends, and occasionally long hours.
• Must be able to use repetitive hand movement when buttoning, sorting, hanging and zipping garments.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and perform physical activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have knowledge of brands and value of clothes, furniture, and household items.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily donation and production operations to meet budget while ensuring safety and organization.
• Supervise production employees to meet daily goals (110 garments/hour; 90% quality).
• Maintain backroom workflow to maximize production.
• Ensure donations are processed to maximize sales and minimize waste.
• Monitor back-room supplies and assist with ordering.
• Coordinate with transportation department and District Managers.
• Ensure donations are processed expeditiously from donation door to the sales floor.
• Schedule staff to cover operations and ensure proper coverage.
• Perform duties of store production personnel including donation receiving, sorting, hanging, pricing, cleaning.
• Keep the store clean and hazard-free; manage general housekeeping.
