Job summary

Speechify, a 100% distributed company, is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, build, and maintain robust APIs (public TTS API, internal Payment, Subscription, Auth, Analytics) aligned with product strategy.

You will own backend architecture with TS/Node, work with GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-availability services for users with learning differences.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node (required).
• Experience designing and building scalable APIs and services.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, Payment, Subscription, Auth and Analytics.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on enterprise integrations and align backend with product strategy and user experience.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-availability services.
