Job summary

Coinbase is hiring for a backend-focused role within the Money Movement team. You will own end-to-end projects for stablecoin-based payments, building backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure to move value securely and scalably.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance speed, security, and regulatory needs while driving performance and reliability improvements across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience building and operating backend systems.
• Proficiency in backend languages (Go, Java) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
• Experience designing distributed systems and APIs.
• Experience integrating with blockchain or crypto technologies.
• Ability to write technical design documents and communicate trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Own key projects end-to-end as the Directly Responsible Individual.
• Build backend systems, infrastructure, and APIs for stablecoin-based payments.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and Compliance on requirements.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems.
• Contribute to engineering quality through code reviews and patterns.
