Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Stablecoin team in the Developer group. You will own services and on-chain contracts powering issuance, reserves, minting, burning, and rewards for partners, while collaborating with product and design to turn the roadmap into shipped features.

You will balance security and scalability, write robust code, and contribute to an auditable, high-velocity engineering culture in a remote-first company that values quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering in production backend services.
• Experience writing, testing, and deploying smart contracts (Solidity/EVM).
• Ownership of services end-to-end and designing SOA at scale.
• Security and correctness considerations for on-chain systems.
• Knowledge of Ethereum/EVM and DeFi or stablecoins.
• Experience using AI to improve workflows while keeping human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve smart contracts that mint, burn, and safeguard custom stablecoins.
• Build and scale backend services for onboarding, issuance, reserve accounting, and rewards distribution.
• Collaborate with product, design, and tech leads to ship features quarterly.
• Shape architecture across backend and smart contracts for security and performance.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and raise operational excellence.
