Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Data Center Technician to install and rack servers, perform hardware break-fix, troubleshoot networking issues, and respond to incidents that affect service availability across data centers.

You will act as a primary contact for engineers, vendors, and contractors, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to preventive maintenance, change management, and documentation improvements. Travel to training or other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix and troubleshooting to maintain service availability.
• Serve as primary contact for engineers, vendors, contractors and other stakeholders.
• On-call duties and participate in maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on issue analysis.
• Assist with interviewing, training and onboarding new team members.
