Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Technician to help maintain and repair our global cloud infrastructure. You will perform server rack installations, diagnose hardware and network issues, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 service availability.

The role involves travel between data center sites, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Able to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call duties and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements.
• Assist with interviewing, training and onboarding new members.
