Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Data Center Technician to ensure availability and reliability of our data centers. You will diagnose hardware and network issues, perform repairs, and support 24/7 operations in a required shift pattern.

The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, climbing ladders, and hands-on work in industrial environments. GovCloud access is restricted to U.S. citizens and Amazon employees.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking (including troubleshooting and repair) experience
• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Lift and move material up to 40 pounds
• Work in cramped and elevated locations
• Ambulate and work on ladders, stairs, and gangways safely
• Support 24/7 operations with shifts including days/nights/weekends/holidays
• Participate in on-call rotation and hardware diagnostics for repair
