Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Dublin, OH is seeking a Cluster Operations Leader to direct Data Center Clusters and Colocation Operations. You will lead compute, electrical, mechanical, and controls teams with a focus on safety, availability, cost, and scalable infrastructure for AWS.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage incident response, and partner with security and engineering to deliver world-class operations across DCO and DCEO.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of management experience in datacenter or critical environment facilities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven track record delivering analytical/quantitative projects.
• Proven ability to hire, develop and manage geographically distributed technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, manage, and develop operations teams across compute and engineering.
• Meet safety, security, availability, scaling, and cost targets.
• Plan and execute infrastructure operations for new data centers and colocation expansions.
• Maintain and optimize mechanical, electrical, and controls systems; manage maintenance/change processes.
• Manage service providers to meet or exceed SLAs.
• Lead incident response for safety, security, and availability.
• Continuously improve processes, procedures, and tools.
