Job summary

Actalent in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Welding Inspector to perform code-compliant inspections and QA/QC testing on welded structural components. You will read drawings, verify weld quality, and document findings to support safety and design intent.

Responsibilities include field inspections, coordination with engineers and contractors, and travel to sites using a company vehicle. Candidates with CWI and NDT credentials are preferred and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Active AWS CWI credential required for structural steel and welding inspections.
• NDT Level II UT Shear Wave capability preferred.
• ICC certifications in Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steel, and Structural Masonry preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and QA/QC testing of welded components.
• Interpret drawings and welding details to verify compliance.
• Document inspection results with daily reports and photographs.
• Coordinate with contractors and engineers on findings.
• Travel to various work sites using a company vehicle.
