Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to perform quality control and code-compliance inspections on welded components and assemblies.

You will verify weld quality through visual inspection and coordinate nondestructive testing, ensuring compliance with AWS, ASME, API codes and client standards. The role requires strong inspection techniques, documentation practices, and the ability to support safety-critical operations across field and shop settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required (Technical Degree or Military experience a plus).
• Experience performing visual welding inspections and coordinating QA/QC activities is preferred.
• Familiarity with codes and standards such as AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API codes, and project specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual welding inspections per AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API codes, or project criteria.
• Review WPS, PQR, and WQTR records to verify weld procedures and qualifications.
• Monitor welding activities to ensure adherence to procedures and client specs.
• Coordinate with NDT personnel to support UT, RT, MT, PT, and other testing requirements.
• Generate detailed inspection reports, weld maps, and deficiency logs.
• Witness welder qualification tests and maintain welder continuity logs.
• Interface with client QA/QC personnel, fabricators, and engineers to resolve issues.
