Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to conduct quality control and code-compliance inspections on welded components in field and shop environments.

You will verify weld quality through visual inspection and coordinate NDT as needed, ensuring compliance with AWS, ASME, API codes and project criteria. Ideal candidates hold AWS CWI, TWIC is preferred, and have experience with welding procedures, WPS, PQR, and welder qualification tests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must obtain TWIC, DISA, or other site access credentials.
• Active AWS CWI certification.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API 1104 and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual welding inspections per AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API codes, or project criteria.
• Review WPS, PQR, and WQTR documentation and monitor welding activities.
• Coordinate with NDT personnel for UT, RT, MT, PT testing as needed.
• Generate inspection reports, weld maps, and deficiency logs.
• Witness welder qualification tests and maintain continuity logs.
• Interface with client QA/QC personnel and engineers to resolve issues.
