Job summary

Bridgewell in Wakefield, MA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide daily living support to individuals with developmental, physical, and psychiatric disabilities in residential and community settings.

You will implement skills training, monitor health and safety, administer medications per MAP, and document progress. The role requires overnight shifts on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Bridgewell offers benefits, training, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or 5+ years in the same role is required.
• At least 1 year experience with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to residents with daily living skills during day, evening, and overnight shifts.
• Foster independence by helping residents make decisions and develop skills.
• Administer medications per MAP regulations, as applicable.
• Maintain daily notes, shift checklists, and documentation per regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
• Transport residents to medical, recreational, and other activities as needed.
• Ensure safety and compliance with Bridgewell policies and required regulations.
• Attend program staff meetings and trainings; support coordination with guardians and stakeholders.
