Job summary

Bridgewell in Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide daily living support to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities in residential settings. You will deliver training in daily living skills, assist with personal care, manage medications under MAP regulations, and support community access.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year minimum experience with disabilities preferred, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to drive a large and/or wheelchair van with a valid US driver's license and at least one year of driving experience in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide skills training in activities of daily living across shifts.
• Foster independence by supporting decision-making and growth.
• Follow regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies in care delivery.
• Administer medications per MAP regulations, where applicable.
• Maintain documentation: progress notes, shift checklists, shift assignments.
• Transport and accompany clients to medical, recreational, and community activities.
• Build positive relationships with guardians and stakeholders.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
