WORK Inc. in Dorchester, MA seeks an Assistant Vice President of Residential Services to provide strategic leadership for all residential programs across Greater Boston and Plymouth.

This role supervises directors and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and program excellence. The AVP will drive program development, oversee budgets, and coordinate with health services, safety, and finance to improve residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field (or Bachelor’s with progression)
• Six to eight years of progressive management experience in residential services
• Proven ability to inspire teams, drive innovation, and build community partnerships
• Expertise in program development, regulatory compliance, and budget management
• Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills; ability to lead independently or with a team

Responsibilities

• Assist in overall management and leadership of residential services with executive leadership alignment
• Develop and implement management accountability systems
• Oversee planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of residential programs
• Supervise directors, managers, and staff with performance management and growth
• Ensure compliance with regulations, reporting, and funding requirements
• Lead budget planning, fiscal oversight, and resource allocation
• Develop service plans and coordinate with health, safety, and finance
• Represent the department at internal/external meetings and events
• Oversee intake/assessment for new residents and individualized support
• Monitor quality and efficacy of services using data for improvements
• Maintain facilities' safety and upkeep with facilities management
• Support fundraising, grants, and resource development
• Provide coverage for VP during absences, including emergency response
