Job summary

SNC is seeking an Avionics Technician IV in the United States to perform moderately complex installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics components in accordance with FAA, FCC, and company policies. The role includes maintaining test equipment and mentoring junior staff within a fast-paced, security-cleared environment.

Applicants should have 10+ years of avionics experience, strong schematic interpretation, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Proficient in avionics installation tooling, wiring, soldering and crimping.
• Requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex, technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings
• Advanced skills with moderately complex avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering and crimping techniques
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL
• Ability to mentor and guide subordinates
• Basic understanding of spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pitot static equipment
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
