Job summary

SNC is seeking an Avionics Technician IV to perform avionics maintenance in accordance with FCC, FAA and company standards. You will install, test, troubleshoot and repair avionics components and maintain testing equipment and manuals on-site.

Expect a challenging role requiring strong schematics interpretation, advanced wiring skills, and the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. This position is based in the Northern Kentucky area within the United States.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent; 10+ years of relevant experience; higher degree may substitute for experience.
  • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications; route wires per drawings.
  • Advanced skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniques.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

As an Avionics Technician IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies and regulations.   • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
    • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
    • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex, technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings
  • Advanced skills with moderately complex avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering and crimping techniques
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL
  • Ability to mentor and guide subordinates
  • Basic understanding of spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pitot static equipment
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
