Job summary

SNC is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify products at customer sites. You will travel to field locations, train customers onsite, and track equipment status while delivering technical support.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; travel outside the continental US is expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; 2+ years relevant experience (higher degree may substitute).
  • Basic understanding of schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals.
  • Ability to travel outside the continental US for extended periods; obtain Secret clearance.

Job description

As a Field Service Technician II, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Youll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment. Youll build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Qualifications You Must Have:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
    • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
    • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
  • Experience using troubleshooting techniques
  • Understanding of electrical wiring concepts
  • Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Associates degree in a related field of study
  • Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
  • Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+
  • Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
