Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs.
This is a full-time, on-site role at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. The ideal candidate has at least ten years of software and systems engineering experience, familiarity with avionics, MBSE, and Agile/SAFe development in DoD-like environments.
Qualifications
- Experience with DoD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207.
- Experience with Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, MBSE, or systems safety & reliability.
- Experience with Agile software development processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and CD-Lists (CDRLs).
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
