Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to support acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. This on-site role requires an ACTIVE Secret Clearance and is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.

The position emphasizes MBSE, system-of-systems engineering, and adherence to SAFe/Agile processes, with a strong emphasis on integration and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• Active Secret clearance with potential to obtain Top Secret.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CD-RLs.
