Job summary
SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. The role involves software systems engineering for acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs, requiring an active Secret clearance and potential Top Secret eligibility.
The position emphasizes collaboration with vendors, cyber security experts, and participation in formal Reviews and Agile/SAFe processes.
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
- Active Secret Clearance required; Top Secret eligibility after start may be required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support ECP process and prepare SOWs/CDRLs.
- Develop IGCEs and support evaluations of Contractor proposals.
