Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs.

This on-site role at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD requires an Active Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret clearance later. The candidate will engage in requirements development, vendor coordination, and system integration while supporting Agile/SAFe processes and various technical reviews.

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• BS in a technical discipline from an ABET accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the ECP process and prepare SOWs/CDRLs.
• Develop IGCEs and support contractor proposal evaluations.
