Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to support acquisition, development, and sustainment of various aviation programs.

The role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and involves collaboration with cybersecurity experts and vendors. Experience in software or systems engineering and avionics knowledge is preferred, with an active Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• Active Secret clearance is required; Top Secret clearance may be required later.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the ECP process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CD-RLs.
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
