Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. seeks a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs on-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.
An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret consideration after start. The position is future-funded and begins after September 1, 2026, offering growth opportunities within a collaborative, employee-owned environment.
Qualifications
- At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
- Conduct analysis of software defects
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
