Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs. This position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, and an active Secret Clearance.

The role involves developing software requirements, coordinating with vendors, supporting reviews and the ECP process, and contributing to Agile and SAFe workflows.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities
• Knowledge of avionics systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
• Conduct analysis of software defects
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
