Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD. The role entails developing software requirements, evaluating vendor software, and coordinating integrations across programs. Active Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret later.

The position is future funded with start not before September 1, 2026, and involves participation in Agile/SAFe processes, reviews, and contract deliverables.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
