Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering in aviation programs. This on-site role at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD requires active Secret clearance and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
The position is future funded, with responsibilities spanning requirements development, vendor evaluation, system integration, defect analysis, and collaboration with cybersecurity experts within Agile/SAFe processes.
Qualifications
- At least two years of software or systems engineering experience.
- Knowledge of avionics systems is required.
- Experience with Agile software development and SAFe processes is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processes.
- Develop SOWs and CDRLs.
- Develop IGCEs and support contractor evaluations.
