Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD. The role requires an active Secret clearance and may require Top Secret later.

You will develop software requirements, coordinate with vendors, and engage in Agile/SAFe processes across multiple reviews and ECP activities, with compensation ranging from $70,000 to $122,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience in software or systems engineering.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• Active Secret clearance is required; Top Secret clearance may be required later.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CD RLs.
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
