Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. seeks a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across aviation programs.
The role requires on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, and an active Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret clearance after start. Ideal candidates have at least two years of software or systems engineering experience and knowledge of avionics systems.
Qualifications
- At least two years of software or systems engineering experience.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
- Conduct analysis of software defects
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CD RLs
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
