Job summary

Alaska Airlines internship program in SeaTac, WA offers a 12-week full-time summer internship designed for students to work on visible projects across departments and gain hands-on experience. Interns receive unlimited standby travel benefits and work on cross-divisional improvement initiatives within the Network Operations Center.

Starting rate is USD 25.00/hr with two program timelines to align with academic calendars.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with at least one semester/quarter remaining after the internship.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate with a diverse workgroup and other internal teams.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18.

Responsibilities

• Work to implement cross-divisional improvement processes for the NOC.
• Analyze and interpret data affecting operational performance including safety, maintenance, flight planning and scheduling.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify trends impacting airline network operations.
• Assist with the execution of operational plans supporting network goals.
