Alaska Airlines is offering a summer 2027 cybersecurity internship in SeaTac, WA. The 12‑week, full‑time program requires relocation if not in the internship city. Interns work on visible cybersecurity projects, gain hands‑on experience, and network with colleagues and leaders.

Starting rate is USD $30.00 per hour. Benefits include standby travel on Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon, travel credits, and day-one travel privileges.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Cybersecurity related degree or program.
• Desire to grow critical thinking, data analytics and communication skills.
• Love of data and looking at ‘big picture’ AND ‘small picture’ problems.
• Strong drive to understand why something occurs and if it’s relevant.
• Desire to learn real world cybersecurity roles and responsibilities.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
• Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Perform data analytics work to identify user/endpoint event anomalies.
• Assist with documenting cybersecurity threat intelligence, detection and response processes.
• Facilitate testing of controls to validate coverage and function.
• Participate in a variety of day-to-day cybersecurity related work.
• Take part in DevSecOps/Application Security or security engineering project tasks.
