Alaska Airlines offers a hands-on summer internship in Renton, WA for 12 weeks in Summer 2027. Two program timelines align with different academic calendars, with relocation required if not already in Renton.

Interns join teams across departments to work on visible projects that impact guests and the business, gaining hands-on experience and networking with colleagues and leaders. The program includes unlimited standby travel benefits during the internship.

Qualificações

• Enrolled in a quantitative degree program, including but not limited to Industrial & Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, or Statistics.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience interpreting data visualizations to extract meaningful conclusions.
• Interest in airline operations and financial management.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
• Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze staffing data and employment trends to inform hiring strategy.
• Evaluate operations in airport, call center, and maintenance divisions and recommend staffing levels and schedules to support the business.
• Extract data from large data sources and develop dashboards to support operational staffing and scheduling.
• Provide support on a project to evaluate tools, space, and systems to identify barriers to improved productivity.
