Job summary

Alaska Airlines is seeking motivated students for a summer 2027 internship in SeaTac, WA. This 12‑week, full-time program offers hands-on projects across Network Planning, where you will analyze data sources, forecast models, and seasonal schedules, collaborating with multiple teams to support business decisions.

You will gain exposure to airline operations, data visualization, and stakeholder communications while developing practical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a quantitative degree program (e.g., Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics).
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis tools.
• Able to interpret data visualizations to draw meaningful conclusions.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse stakeholders.
• Interested in learning about Network Planning and the airline business.
• Currently an undergraduate with at least one semester remaining after internship.
• Junior standing or higher at application time.
• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18; eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Learn data sources and processes related to Network Planning (forecasting models, industry demand, performance data, capacity, scheduling tools).
• Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to align capacity plans and seasonal schedules.
• Support analytically driven project with a Market Planning, Network Insights, or Scheduling analyst, including presenting findings to department leaders at internship end.
