Job summary

Astreya is seeking an AV Technician II to join our onsite team for a global client in California. You will install and support AV/VC systems, perform cabling, operate during events, and liaise with clients and vendors to meet SLAs.

You will travel to client offices as needed and engage with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. A valid driver’s license and strong communication are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–5 years' related experience or training.
• Builds productive internal and external working relationships.
• Judgment within defined procedures to determine action.
• Able to think and work independently.
• Strong wiring/termination skills and AV installation techniques.
• Excellent written and oral communication and customer service.
• Ability to read architecture/AV drawings and schematics.
• Willing to work day/evening/weekend shifts and travel for events.
• Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Participate in installation of AV equipment and displays including conferencing systems.
• Install structured cabling (cat5e/6, HDMI, RGB, DVI, audio).
• Ensure SLAs and daily deliverables are met with ticket updates.
• Upload Crestron control programs and coordinate with remote team.
• Assist with inventory, stock levels, returns and DOA issues.
• Follow client policies, standards and safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot issues during installations and events.
• Set up and breakdown equipment for events; perform pre-event checks.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams and end users during events.
• Interface with vendors to address requests and requirements.
• Identify and resolve issues impacting conference rooms.
• Other duties as required.
