Job summary

Astreya seeks an AV Technician I to join onsite support for a global client, handling AV/VC environments and event setups. You will troubleshoot, install, and maintain audio/video systems, displays, and control equipment while collaborating with cross-functional teams and end users. Occasional travel to client offices is required.

The role emphasizes adherence to SLAs, safety guidelines, and proactive problem-solving during installations and events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 0-2 years related experience.
• Ability to work independently and meet SLAs.
• Strong wiring/termination and AV installation knowledge.
• Clear written and verbal communication; customer service.
• Ability to read architectural/electrical/AV drawings.
• Willingness to travel for events; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation of AV equipment including audio/video and displays.
• Install structured cabling: cat5e/6, HDMI, DVI, audio cables.
• Meet SLAs and keep ticket updates current.
• Upload Crestron control programs and coordinate with remote team.
• Support inventory and manage stock levels; handle DOA/RMA issues.
• Follow client safety and policy guidelines.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and assist during events.
• Perform pre-event checks and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Interface with end users and vendors to address requests.
• Identify and solve issues impacting conference rooms.
