Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. in Irvine, CA, seeks a Project Manager to oversee AV systems integration projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with strict adherence to scope, quality and safety.

You will coordinate kickoff meetings, manage budgets, schedules, risk, and stakeholder communications, while maintaining customer satisfaction. The role requires 3–5 years’ PM experience in AV/construction, solid MS Office/MS Project skills, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Project Manager experience in AV, Construction, or related industry.
• Proven project management and team leadership experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects with strong time management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Understanding of revenue, budget, margins and variances.
• Knowledge of technical, contractual and construction documents.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Learn and comply with AVI-SPL standard processes.
• Serve as subject matter expert on contract documents for each project.
• Facilitate kickoff meetings among Sales, Engineering, Programming, Fabrication & Installation, Customer resources and Third-Party resources.
• Identify and manage project risk and resolve issues with team or management escalation.
• Create and manage project schedules and coordinate resource scheduling for tasks.
• Facilitate project material / equipment orders.
• Manage all project expenditures based on budget and communicate issues impacting profitability.
• Provide and review status/progress reporting of all projects to stakeholders.
• Manage and verify quality of work by internal and/or subcontracted resources.
• Raise awareness of potential claims or large costs to management.
• Ensure scope/schedule/cost changes follow change order procedures.
• Gather and supply close-out documentation to AVI-SPL Service teams.
• Maintain strong customer relationships focusing on on-time delivery and quality.
• Respond to customer communications promptly and professionally.
• Steer project results to satisfy customer requirements and NPS goals.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
