Job summary

Axiom Technologies in Dekalb, Illinois is seeking an AV Support Engineer – L2 Field Support for on-site, on-demand work. This independent contractor role involves hands-on troubleshooting of meeting room technologies, AV equipment, and Microsoft Teams Rooms across client locations.

The ideal candidate will diagnose complex AV issues, install and validate room systems, and work with remote teams. On-site, field-based shifts with no guaranteed hours and 1099 contracting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting meeting room technologies, AV equipment and peripherals.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and related conferencing hardware.
• Ability to diagnose network-related issues affecting AV performance.

Responsibilities

• Advanced onsite troubleshooting of AV issues in meeting rooms across client locations.
• Collect logs and diagnose intermittent failures, device disconnects, and call quality problems.
• Install, configure and validate meeting room systems and peripherals.
• Coordinate with remote teams and vendors during troubleshooting sessions.
• Update tickets with findings and maintain as-built meeting room documentation.
