Job summary

Encore is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality setting, ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth event delivery. The role collaborates with hotel staff, vendors, and clients to troubleshoot issues and provide exceptional service on-site in San Diego.

The position requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), relevant AV experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• External training/certification requirements may apply per Encore programs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and breakdown basic audiovisual equipment to ensure flawless events.
• Coordinate with clients to meet on-site needs and ensure equipment functionality.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues in real time.
• Record orders and complete paperwork accurately.
• Upsell services to increase event revenue.
